We are The Willow Branch Collective
Our Story
It all started with burnout. After several years in a high volume setting, burnout was unavoidable. Our founders dreamed up The Willow Branch Collective as a way to have autonomy over their clinical work while feeling connected to a team of therapists. The members of the community they have built all have the same story - burnout, difficult working conditions, job insecurity. Now they have created an environment to have healthy work life boundaries, support, and security.
We are called The Willow Branch because of the resilience of the willow tree. When a branch breaks off a willow, that branch alone can grow its own strong independent root system. That's what we are. Each of us is a branch that decided it was time to trust ourselves and put down our own roots. But we wanted to do it together - because it takes more than one tree to build a forest.
Looking for a new therapist? Our therapists are all in private practice, which means they set their own rates, take different insurances, and have varied in-person and virtual availability. They hold a variety of specialties and professional experience, each one integrating their own approach into their care. If you are interested in working with any of our therapists, please fill out our Client Contact Form and the therapist with the next availability who meets your needs will get back to you.

I combine my studies in and lived experience with ADHD, depression, anxiety, burn out, and career transition to provide authentic, affirming support. I am passionate about empowering my clients to manage change – both the changes they desire and the unexpected changes that life throws at them. Using cognitive-behavioral, nature-based, strengths-based, and mindfulness approaches, I guide clients in developing their ability to heal, foster growth, and embrace the fullest expressions of their authentic selves. I've enjoyed a two-decades-long career as a college English professor and now bring my lifelong commitment to helping others to this new chapter.

Robin Mayfield, LCSW-C
Mayhaven Counseling
Hi! I'm Robin, and I work with folks 18+ who feel overwhelmed or stressed by their current path in life. I especially enjoy working with folks who are neurodivergent or who have spent their lives wondering why they seem or feel so different from others'. My goal is to help clients change what they can, cope with what they cannot, and to leave feeling seen and heard. If all goes well, we might even share a joke or two as I firmly believe, with the client's permission, that a bit of humor can be healing.

A to Zen Therapy
I believe we all have varying degrees of trauma, and are all on different parts of our journey to healing. Whether you’re just starting out or you feel stuck with where you’re at in your journey; if you’ve been struggling with depression, anxiety, body image, gender or sexuality, relationships, self esteem, or anything else - let’s find the root of the pain together. If you’re motivated to find more Zen in your life, heal your inner child, and befriend your inner critic - I’m here to help guide you! I want to ride shotgun with you through your healing journey. I can share roadmaps - my favorite being Internal Family Systems. I can suggest turns, when to speed up or slow down, or help keep an eye out for danger. Together we can figure out the destination, but you will never have to go alone. And you will always be in the drivers seat! My goal is to create a safe, warm, and inviting space for you to explore your needs and feelings. Never judgement, always compassion and curiosity, and sometimes a cat in the background!
